Can AI replace expert consulting?

13.10.2025BLOG

We approach the development of artificial intelligence with active interest. We utilize selected solutions in our own operations and recommend them to our clients. We do not share the concern that AI will displace our business model, which is based on trust and client-specific tailored consulting. On the contrary, we view AI, when used responsibly, as a valuable partner.

Strategic Role: Enhancement and Value Creation

The primary benefit of AI for Konsulttiverkko is the streamlining of mechanical and repetitive tasks where the outcome is predictable. Such application areas include, for example:

  • Creating text-based summaries
  • Language checking and proofreading
  • Translation work

In these tasks, it is easy for a human to ensure that the final result produced by AI meets the set requirements.

Limitations and the Human Role

Generic AI answers are not sufficient for insightful and client-specific advice. The unique role of the consultant is emphasized, especially in solving complex problems that require deep industry expertise, experience, and creativity.

In sales work, AI functions as a checklist and foundational groundwork, helping to ensure that all essential perspectives of a request for proposal have been considered. AI can create a generic analytical basis or structure, upon which the consultant builds the client-specific solution design and strategy.

Conclusion: Symbiosis Brings Higher Added Value

We utilize AI judiciously in routine work and thus redirect the time saved to higher added-value, client-specific work.

We do not view AI as a disruptive factor in expert work, but rather as a tool that always requires human critical thinking and the integration of one's own expertise into the generic foundation. By operating in this symbiosis, we continuously develop our work, focusing only on what is genuinely valuable and unique to the client.
